Although it’s an international break for our men’s team, there’s still plenty of action to look forward to over the course of a busy week – not least a big game for the City women’s team.

UEFA Nations League fixtures return with a city-focused look on Thursday, concentrating on the Group A4 encounters with Kevin De Bruynes Belgium hosting Wales and Nathan Akes Netherlands traveling to Poland, both starting at 7.45pm .

England U21s – with six City players in Lee Carsley’s squad – are also in action when the Young Lions take on Italy U21s at 19:45.

Manager Gareth Taylor is set to speak to journalists ahead of the second Barclays Women’s Super League game of the new season when we travel to Chelsea on Sunday.

The focus then shifts back to international football, with England – with four City players in the squad – traveling to face Italy in the Three Lions’ recent UEFA Nations League outing in Milan. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.

Channel 4 broadcasts the duel of group A3 live.

Ilkay Gündogan’s Germany is also playing its last game in the Nations League, meeting Group A3 leaders Hungary.

A friendly between Ederson’s Brazil and Ghana will also start at 19.30

Nations League fixtures move on tight and fast with a number of fixtures on the calendar

Erling Haaland will look to be back under goals when Norway travel to Slovenia at 5pm, while Shea Charles’ Northern Ireland host Kosovo in another game at 5pm.

Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias and Joao Cancelo will look to help Portugal defeat the Czech Republic in Group A2.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo’s Spain host Manuel Akanji’s Switzerland in another 19.45 kick-off.

There is also an international match that sees Julian Alvarez’ Argentina play Honduras in the early hours of Sunday morning.

SUNDAY

Aston Villa vs. City | Barclays WSL | 4 p.m

Netherlands vs Belgium | Nations League | 7.45 p.m

After last weekend’s league opener at Aston Villa, City continue our Barclays WSL campaign as we travel to play reigning champions Chelsea.

Kingsmeadow kicks off at 4pm and we will have uplifting content throughout the week and on Sunday we will have full coverage in our Matchday Center.

This starts at 2:30 p.m. and features up-to-the-minute analysis, stats and text commentary, as well as the best of the action on Twitter: @ManCityWomen.

This is followed by a match report, a post-match reaction with highlights and a full match replay, also available on mancity.com and our official app.

The game will also be streamed live on SkySports.

Later in the evening, the city’s focus shifts back to UEFA Nations League fixtures when Belgium travel to the Netherlands in a much-anticipated Group A4 clash at 7.45pm.
