Planning a group trip to Italy in 2023? A vacation rental company called Group Accommodation has one of the most unconventional and unusual listings we’ve ever seen. An entire medieval village in central Italy, three hours northeast of Rome, is available for rent for £1,303 (INR 1,27,761) a night.
Petritoli is a beautiful community in the Italian Le Marche region, surrounded by gentle rolling hills. The historic village has multi-story stone houses, towers, narrow cobblestone streets, a baroque theater, a Roman cellar, an impressive castle with 37 bedrooms, nine kitchens, a restaurant and 19 bathrooms. Two outdoor pools with gardens and sun decks offer panoramic views of the entire grounds. Inside the castle, furniture, fireplaces, stunning frescoed ceilings and ancient art fill the rooms and common areas. The rest of the accommodations are scattered throughout the village, from boutique bed and breakfasts and apartments to quaint houses.
What can you do in the wonderful Italian village of Petritoli?
Renting a Petritoli gives you access to more than 15 cultural and entertainment facilities. Nicknamed the Chocolate Box, its small theater is draped in plush red velvet and features elegant Roman columns and box seats. Other spaces suitable for social gatherings and dinners include the 17th-century chapel, the 18th-century vaulted printing room, several squares and gardens, a tapestry wine cellar and the beautiful town hall gardens. According to the listing, the professional team can host special events and cater up to 250 people three times a day.
Most of the village is closed to vehicular traffic. The streets are lined with coffee shops, grocery stores, gelato restaurants, and pizzerias. The Adriatic coast is only 12 miles (19.3 km) from Petritol, so you can take advantage of the dreamy beaches nearby and explore other beautiful small towns.
50-200 people in this village (about 90 people can stay in the castle), you have to rent for three nights. It is a perfect choice for a wedding weekend or a large family gathering.
