Taraji P. Henson lives her best life in Bali.
Those Empire The alum shared glimpses of her month-long sabbatical in Indonesia on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of all the greenery the island has to offer.
The first photo in the photo gallery is the only photo that is not a selfie. It shows the star posing in a striped blue and pink two-piece outfit. In addition to some gold jewelry, Henson kept the look simple, decorating her braided topknot hairstyle with yellow flowers.
In the next photo, she gave fans a closer look at the jewelry pieces, with the earrings and necklace reading “Blessed.”
It’s clear Henson got some much-needed R&R on her trip, as she’s glowing inside and out in another selfie, which saw her wearing a one-shoulder print dress.
She let her hair down in the final photo of the slideshow, rocking statement jewelry fit for a goddess on her bare shoulders.

Earlier this month, Henson shared a series of photos of herself posing on a Balinese swing high above the treetop.
While she looked absolutely stunning in the snaps, rocking two dresses – a pink and a yellow – she revealed that the ‘perfect picture’ isn’t always as glamorous as the final product.
“The last slide is when that glamorous swing really went down (previous post) SOUND ON 🔊😩😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 @bali.swing ❤️🙏🏟💇💾💇💾 in second outfit slides by @kokikamala 💋💋💋 ,” she captioned the post, referring to a video in which she can be heard screaming at the top of her lungs while swinging.

Henson opened up about not feeling “purely happy in a long time” on the Angie Martinez IRL podcast, which prompted her decision to take the extended solo trip.
“I thought I was going to be happy, but the things that I thought – I’m going to get emotional; I don’t want to – the things that I thought would make me happy, they don’t; they don’t cut it anymore,” he she explained to the host, adding, “So I’m in a place where this looks like? And I’m kind of spinning because I don’t know.
She revealed her travel plans, explaining, “I’m about to go to Bali alone for a month. It’s my own spiritual journey. I have to find my happiness,” she noted, adding, “And it’s not in my Friends. It’s not in my mother. … It’s me.”
The Oscar winner admitted that she poured herself into her career and other aspects of her life without taking the time to really fill her cup.
“I have to control myself. I can lose myself and give it all to the industry [and I’m] things to do because I have a job to do,” she said, adding, “Fk that job. If I’m not good mentally…if I’m not good, I won’t serve this role. I will not serve my fans. They don’t get the best of me,” she said.
We’re glad Henson puts herself first and does things that bring her joy, above all else.
