Take That musical tour 2023: show dates for Greatest Days

They are one of the most popular and well-known boy bands in the world United Kingdom – and possibly them too World – so it’s no surprise that Take That will have one soon Movie and a theatrical performance dedicated to them.

It has been almost three decades since the release of the band’s first UK number 1 single, Pray, which was released in 1993, and to mark the occasion a theatrical show centered around the band and some of their best-loved music will be touring the UK next year .

The show will be called Greatest Days, which of course fans will recognize as very close to another of the band’s hit songs, Greatest Day.

So what is the theater show about, what are the tour dates and how do you get tickets?

Here’s everything you need to know.

The new theatrical production celebrates 30 years since Take That’s first UK number one single ‘Pray’ and will feature 15 of Take That’s greatest hits.

The show, formerly The Band, broke box office records and wowed audiences across the UK when it performed in 2017-19, including in London’s West End.

Featuring a book by award-winning playwright Tim Firth, the tour’s start date coincides with the release of the official film version of this musical, starring Aisling Bea and Jayde Adams, in summer 2023.

The musical follows a group of five best friends in the 1990s who become obsessed with their favorite boy band, Take That.

The girls then reunite more than 20 years later with plans to see their favorite musicians perform one last time on the biggest days of their lives.

The cast and creative team for the theater show are announced

The new tour, produced by Adam Kenwright, opens in Bromley on Friday May 5 before heading to Manchester, Newcastle, Woking, Sheffield, Cardiff, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Wolverhampton and Cheltenham.

Additional dates for 2023 and 2024 are also set to be announced for Blackpool, Glasgow, Bristol, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Southampton, Truro, Leeds, Leicester and Birmingham.

Take That have released a brief statement on the musical, saying they “can’t wait” to bring it to the stage.

They said: “We are so excited to have this new production called Greatest Days coming out next year.

“We had tremendous fun working on the original version and can’t wait to bring this new production to over 30 cities in the UK and Ireland from May 2023.”

Tickets for the Greatest Days Musical are scheduled to go on sale in September, October and November 2022, depending on the venue.

Take That is one of Britain’s most popular boy bands, formed in Manchester in 1990.

The group currently consists of three members; Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen. The original cast also featured Jason Orange and Robbie Williams.

The group had 28 top 40 singles and 17 top 5 singles in the UK Singles Chart, 12 of which reached number one, including Back for Good, Patience and Greatest Day. They also had eight number one albums in the UK Albums Chart.

Internationally, the band had 56 number one singles and 39 number one albums.

They have received eight Brit Awards including Best British Group and Best British Live Act. In 2012 they also received an Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.

Take That has been certified for 14 million albums and 11.4 million singles in the UK, according to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
