In April 2017, TAITRA was commissioned by the government to set up the Taiwan Halal Center and help promote Taiwan’s halal industry. After much effort, Taiwan’s pro-Muslim tourism image has hit a record high. That year, it ranked second among all non-OIC countries in terms of Muslim-friendly travel in the Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI). The survey provided exciting good news for Taiwan’s tourism industry. Our goal is to create a Muslim-friendly environment where Muslims can buy quality products made in Taiwan without worries and live a more comfortable life.
