ALPHARETTA, Ga., September 27, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–While hotel room night revenue is projected to reach $168.4 billion in 2022, within one percent of pre-pandemic levels of 2019, ongoing staffing shortages are expected to result in a slower recovery of revenue from food and beverage and other services, according to The American Hotel & Lodging Association 2022 State of the Hotel Industry Report. Agilysys’ self-service kiosk technology now powers Morongo’s latest all-you-can-eat dining concept, The Marketplace, by Fabio Viviani. For one price, guests can enjoy unlimited dining choices, conceived by the celebrity chef and presented at seven stations representing offerings from different regions of the world.

At kiosks directly in front of the restaurant, guests can plan and pay for meals according to the day, time and number of guests of their choice. Collected points, free gifts and other offers can be redeemed at the kiosk and deducted from the restaurant costs. If the reserved table is available, the guest receives an SMS notification and registers with the restaurant manager.

Agilysys enables data from The Marketplace by Fabio Vivani’s culinary experience to be integrated into Morongo’s end-to-end food and beverage systems, as well as across the room, casino and hotel systems to analyze guest spending and to understand. The system has enhanced the all-you-can-eat dining experience by allowing diners to choose and reserve dining days and times themselves, rather than waiting in line for availability, and by allowing payment at the time of reservation processed, eliminating waiting times at the checkout. Morongo saw an immediate increase in sales of all-you-can-eat food and beverages and was able to focus employees on other areas where they are needed.
