Match preview Italy vs England
Looking for a live stream between Italy and England? You are right here – FourFourTwo has all the information you need.
England face the very real prospect of an embarrassing relegation to League B ahead of Friday’s Nations League trip.
The Three Lions’ season got off to a dismal start in June as they picked up two points in four games.
That run ended in the humiliation of a 4-0 home win over Hungary – England’s worst home defeat in 94 years.
Gareth Southgate’s side must now win at the San Siro if they don’t want to fall into the lower tier as Italy are three points clear of them in third place.
The two sides are now familiar, having faced each other in last summer’s Euro 2020 final when the Azzurri triumphed on penalties and in a 0-0 draw in June.
Roberto Mancini’s side will not go to the 2022 World Cup due to the surprise play-off defeat by North Macedonia.
But England will be desperate to get back to their form this month as their flagship event in Qatar fast approaches.
Southgate’s England World Cup 2022 (opens in new tab) Squad is taking shape but he brought a new face in Brentford striker Ivan Toney this month.
Kalvin Phillips and Jordan Pickford are both injured and John Stones is suspended.
Italy are also struggling with injuries, with Federico Chiesa and Marco Verratti among the absent stars of Euro 2020.
The reduced selection has led to speculation that Mancini could break away from his 4-3-3 formation and switch to 3-5-2.
Spaniard Jesús Gil Manzano will referee Italy against England.
Italy vs England will be played at Milan’s Stadio Giuseppe Meazza – also known as San Siro.
Germany meets Hungary, while England meets Italy in Milan.
Next in Group A3, England, Germany and Italy travel to Hungary on Monday 26 September.

Annoyingly, when you’re abroad for a round of Premier League games, your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are based on your IP address (boo!). You’re blocked from watching it, which isn’t ideal if you’ve paid for a subscription and still want to follow the action without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.
But help is at hand. To get around this, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), provided it complies with your broadcaster’s terms and conditions. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet, which means the service can’t figure out where you are and won’t automatically block the service you paid for. All information that goes in between is fully encrypted – and that’s a result.
