Italy Tourism declares support for thermal tourism

Italy’s Minister of Tourism Daniela Santange is promoting thermal tourism during Les Thermalies 2023 in Paris.

The Minister of Tourism of Italy (MITUR), Ms. Santanche, cut the ribbon of the Italian pavilion at the thermal exhibition “Les Thermalies” in Paris with the slogan “MITUR supports thermal tourism”.

Organized by the ICE-Agency to promote Italy abroad and internationalize Italian companies, the pavilion aims to relaunch Italian thermal tourism.

The Italian delegation includes Daniela Santanche, Minister of Tourism; Massimo Caputi, president of Federterme (Italian spa association); Luigi Ferrelli, Paris Ice Director; Ivana Jelinic, Executive Director of ENIT (Italian National Tourist Board), presented the ItalCares platform, created and promoted with the co-funding of the Italian thermal tourism offer and Federterme, Ministry of Tourism. Also with them was the Italian Ambassador to Paris, Emanuela D’Alessandro.

“I would like to thank the Italian ambassador in France for the work he is doing and has done for Italy. I would also like to thank the French people, whom I love very much, especially for choosing Italy as their second tourist destination,” said the minister.

Santanche added: “Italy ranks eighth in terms of health tourism. We are not happy about this because we want to progress since the ancient Romans discovered spa tourism. We are the first nation to understand the benefits of spas.

The joint participation in this event aims to internationalize the spa system, strengthen national well-being and meet the demands of French consumers.

Caputi recalled: “The spas are one of the best peaks of ‘Made in Italy’. “The great success of Les Thermalies in Italy is a testament to the health tourism and well-being project created by Federterme and funded by the Ministry of Tourism.”
