The International Esports Federation (IESF) announced the remaining speakers for the World Esports Summit, scheduled for September 29-October 2 at the Busan Esports Arena.

The second day of the WE Summit will open with the second edition of the World Esports Academia Seminar and Competition, which aims to promote academic research for the World Esports Family and contribute to the overall growth and development of the industry. This year’s research theme is “Health, Wellness and Wellbeing in Sport” and the winning work will be presented at the seminar and receive a grand prize of KRW 4,000,000 and a certificate of honor from IESF President Vlad Marinescu.

Session 5: Building the Foundation for eSports Legislation
Manager of Fernvaille and Negentra Saygin Kolasinli will moderate the first panel of day two, discussing athlete rights, intellectual property issues and other aspects of the evolving world of esports legislation.

Session 6: Developing Guidelines for Esports Conduct
Executive Director of the North America Scholastic Esports Federation Gerard Solomon will moderate the panel, which will look at the evolution of esports as a traditional sport and the importance of basic education among athletes, teams and content producers.

Session 7: The benefits of eSports infrastructure for tourism
The panel “The Benefits of Esports Infrastructure to Tourism” chaired by the Head and Chair of the IESF Business Development and Partnership Commission Nalain Naidoo will assess the socio-economic benefits of government investments in esports infrastructure, including impacts on tourism and other measures of success.

This panel will delve deep into the roles federations, federations, and other government organizations play in bringing the World Esports family closer together more effectively. The panel will be moderated by the Secretary General of the IESF, Boban Totowski

The WE Summit is supported by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Metropolitan City of Busan and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency. The IESF has hosted the event every year since 2016 and consistently works to fully support its members and serve as an exchange platform for key esports players worldwide to encourage discussion, advancement and good leadership.
