Alamsyah Jo added: “In early 2021 we saw the significant growth in demand for family housing in the city. Sparked by offering a unique yet uncomplicated guest experience, the team came up with the idea of redesigning our little-demanded compact rooms into 6 different children’s themed rooms, tailored specifically for families.” It turned out that this initiative was the first ever Surabaya, and met with enormous enthusiasm from the family guests. Presented in 6 themes of Zoo Safari, Under the Sea, dino countryKid Heroes, Space Star and candy land, these 55 m² rooms feature a connecting door separating the spacious parent and child areas, complete with in-room toys and entertainment activities, bespoke children’s amenities and a chef-designed children’s menu. As expected, this became one of the most popular rooms at Four Points by Sheraton Surabaya, Pakuwon Indah, as evidenced by the contribution of 600 RNs $62,690 as additional revenue for the hotel in 2021.
As for the F&B space, they have also remodeled an unused open space area, also adapting government regulations to open a pop-up open-air dining venue called “MonSoon Alfresco Dining”. The place has also become the city’s new favorite as its location nestles between the rooftops of Pakuwon Mall, sits under the building lights and offers even better panoramic views from the dining area — the West Surabaya city skyline. Offering a Sunset BBQ Buffet Dinner and Four Points’ Best Brews signature, MonSoon serves delicious drinks to accompany guests in their relaxing sunset moments.
