Chalet Hibou In Le Miroir, France

II’ve been fortunate enough to visit many unique places in the world and I’ve always ticked off new experiences I’ll never forget, including the 48-hour journey to the Maldives and taking part in aerial acrobatics in a fighter jet zooming over San Francisco. one ultimate Since I was 7 years old, the bucket list experience has been bigger than everyone else’s: heli-skiing inspired by my father’s love for adventure, travel and making our own tracks in the mountain snow on family ski tours that no one else has discovered, even if that meant trekking up the cliffs with skis on your back to find untouched terrain. I was finally able to give up heli skiing during an epic getaway at Chalet Hibou in France. After all, what better way to test my true spirit of adventure than tackling Europe’s steepest and deepest snow off-piste?

What you should not miss:

Heliskiing at Chalet Hibou is one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had. First, the chalet will arrange every step of the process for you, including planning a customized itinerary prior to your arrival, taking into account your comfort level and skiing ability, and providing all the necessary gear, from ski boots to hand warmers to avalanche backpacks. The guides are experienced, personable, funny and put the guests at ease with their deep knowledge of the mountains. Before the trip I had no idea how to operate an avalanche pack or duck under a descending helicopter but they teach you everything you need to know. It’s also the most unique and special terrain I’ve ever skied on, with epic views of the surrounding Alps and powdery conditions that will make your skis disappear. For skiers who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, the resort is in the perfect location to experience a plethora of ski slopes just a short drive from the village, and all of it Je ne sais quoi Charm that makes a French ski resort so idyllic.

Another absolute must-do during your stay is dining in the property’s renovated historic farmhouse, just a short hike up the hill from the chalet, where you can enjoy canapés and watch the sun set in front of a roaring campfire before retiring to an intimate dinner Candlelit entry by Hibou’s personal chef, which includes signature dishes like homemade fondue and perfectly seasoned steaks. The bottom line? I come back to the experience everyone Season; It’s a getaway you’ll never forget.
