How much money is flowing into this industry, according to a report by Global Market Insights? 17 billion dollars in 2021! Also, their forecast shows that the market will grow by 15 percent each year from 2022 to 2030.
It’s not surprising that vacationers do everything when it comes to travel, as previous research has revealed that many people urgently need a vacation! Due to the pandemic, a survey conducted in the summer of 2022 found that 32 percent of Americans had not reconnected with their extended family in four years. Another recent survey found that one in six people have never traveled outside their home country.
As for this aspect of “luxury”, four out of 10 parents are so desperate for a luxury getaway that they’d jump on the bus if they had a chance to rise to first class on a flight! Meanwhile, 54 percent expect to spend more than usual on their next vacation to make up for lost travel time during the pandemic.

Researchers at My Jet reviewed the 27 most popular luxury destinations worldwide and compared them based on the best luxury Airbnb experiences available at those destinations. From this list, the team has identified the 10 most luxurious Airbnb destinations you should add to your to-do list!
st. Barth tops the list of luxury vacations
Based on how each location scores for the number of luxury Airbnbs available (per number of visitors), average cost per night, and percentage of available accommodations that offer guests a private pool, jacuzzi, gym, and beachfront location, the winner goes towards 2023 St. Barth’s in the Caribbean.
“St. Barth’s may be a special place with few visitors compared to other destinations, but based on visitor numbers, there are a number of luxury Airbnb accommodation options available (about 2,202 per 10,000 visitors),” writes the My Jet team in Comparison.
Belize It finished second for being one of the cheapest places for a luxury vacation. On average, Airbnb guests would only need to pay $983 per night to stay in paradise. Moreover, literally every guest is guaranteed to have a wonderful view!
“100% of Luxe Airbnbs in San Pedro, Belize have a pool, hot tub and are beachfront. However, it can be argued that Belizens do not believe that anyone should spend their time exercising when staying in such a luxurious place, with none of the luxury Airbnbs having gyms,” the researchers write.

If you really want to empty your bank account and have the vacation of your life, go to Europe! The survey found that the most expensive Luxe Airbnb in France and Italy was over $23,000 per night! On average, however, you’ll find the most expensive accommodations in Antigua and Barbuda, paying around $13,000 per night for a luxury stay.
