The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) has signed an agreement with IHG Hotels and Resorts to become the Official Hotel Partner for ATM 2023.
The next edition of the annual trade fair, which brings together hospitality, aviation and tourism organizations from around the world, will take place from 1st to 4th May at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Through the agreement, IHG will officially host nearly 200 international media and key industry buyers from UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Israel, Turkiye, India, GCC, US, Egypt and South Africa.
“Arabian Travel Market is committed to the Middle East, which has some of the most ambitious and exciting development plans in the world. This partnership with IHG represents an ideal opportunity to bring together one of the region’s leading hospitality groups with our unrivaled events platform. The official hotel partnership is critical to the continued success of the Arabian travel market and the correlation between attracting quality buyers and delivering a quality guest hotel experience was a key factor in attracting interest and ensuring the attendance of key travel industry professionals,” said Danielle Curtis, exhibition manager of the ATM.
The new agreement will also allow IHG to showcase its Intercontinental branded properties as well as Voco Hotels, Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts and Hotel Indigo in Dubai and even host the coveted official ATM party.
“We are delighted to extend our long-term relationship with RX as their hotel partner for the Arabian Travel Market 2023. As a regular global exhibitor of RX, we have seen large attendances and interest at several of their shows around the world and ATM in particular. The success of the show was particularly evident in 2022, as the world once again met in person, building strong personal networks and long-term business relationships,” said Haitham Mattar, IHG Managing Director for IMEA.
The 2022 edition of ATM, held in May this year, attracted over 23,000 visitors. The four-day event, which doubled its attendance compared to last year, gathered 1,500 exhibitors and had attendees from 150 countries.
Next year’s ATM theme will be ‘Working Towards Net Zero’ and RX (Reed Exhibitions), the organizer of ATM, will celebrate the 30th edition of its annual event by unveiling a special sustainability promise.
“We’re particularly excited about the show’s theme, ‘Working towards Net Zero,’ as it aligns well with IHG’s ‘Journey to Tomorrow’ – our ten-year agenda for responsible business that focuses on our people, our planet and our communities Communities focused,” added IHG’s Mattar.
